Day 1: Athens

Landing in to the ancient metropolis of Athens, we’ll settle in to our fancy hotel digs and join forces to get the low down on how the next 11 days will run. After, why not kick start your Greek food safari with dinner in the rustic Plaka district, getting excited for tomorrow’s possibilities and the tantalizing call of the Aegean.

Day 2: Athens to Mykonos

We have the first part of the day to run riot in the city of Athens. Climb around the massive Theatre of Dionysus, sift through treasures at the Monastiraki Flea Market or visit Brettos, one of the oldest distillery’s in Greece. In the afternoon it is time to hit the water and cruise to Mykonos. What can you expect here? Think windmills, day clubs, sunshine and perfect clear waters and you’re on the right track…

Day 3: Mykonos

Today is a game of choose your own adventure. Whether you want to fly high and fancy at a beach club like Hippie Fish or Buddha Bar, or keep things easy with a stroll through Little Venice and a spot of snorkelling, this day will prove as beautiful as the bougainvillea doused houses.

Day 4: Mykonos to Ios

This morning we’ll wake up and hit the seas, letting the salt air and sunshine work their magic on our Mykonos induced sore heads. Ios will greet us with a rugged back drop and buckets of island charm. Dive straight in to the swing of things with the many watersports on offer, or keep it low key with a fresh seafood dinner at a local café. After dark is when Ios really reveals herself, and we’ll stick around to catch the best of it.

Day 5: Ios to Milos

Overnight we’ll have floated to another island paradise, allowing us to rise and shine in the arms of Milos. Here in this dreamy playground you can swim in the caves of Kleftiko beach and eat fish cooked in geothermal sands. We’ll soak up every last second and watch the sun set before pulling up anchor for another evening of drifting.

Day 6: Milos to Santorini

Just in time for breakfast, we’ll drop anchor at the island some may refer to as ‘heaven on earth’. Iconic dome churches, lines of boutique stores, and cliffs that drop towards the azure crystal ocean – ladies and gentlemen, enjoy your time in Santorini.

Day 7: Santorini to Heraklion

Rise and Shine, the island of Santorini will not explore itself. Take a swim at Perissa Beach, eat the local speciality of fried tomato balls known as domatokeftedes, and roam the streets of Fira. It's finally your turn to make your friends jealous with outrageous Instagram snaps. Later, we head to the seas again towards Heraklion the capital of Crete - the largest of the Greek Islands. "

Day 8: Heraklion to Kusadasi

Today we’ll be nesting on the big boy of Crete, having docked in the harbour of Heraklion. If you’ve had enough of cocktails and beach umbrellas (although unlikely), this port offers museums, history, and the pretty Georgiadis Park, so plenty of ways to mix it up a bit.

Day 9: Kusadasi to Athens

Never ones to miss an opportunity to visit a new country, today we’ll make a trip to our Turkish neighbours of the east. Why not hunt for one-of-a-kind souvenirs at Kusadasi’s bazaar of treasures, or take a tour to Ephesus if you’re feeling nostalgic. We have all day here to enjoy Turkey, so make the most of it.

Day 10: Athens to Olympia

Today, we’ll see a side of Greece that is neither Athens or the islands, getting an understanding for the culturally diverse history of this country. Who’s ready to see the birth place of the Olympic Games? Hosting the first Olympic Games waaaay back in 776BC, the arena in Olympia has certainly earned its UNESCO World Heritage title. Here in Yunani, you could also visit an Archaeological Museum or the statue of Zeus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Bucket list worthy day or what…

Day 11: Olympia to Delphi

Claiming our place in sporting history, we’ll be ready to kick on to our final point of interest on the Greek map. Heading to the slopes of Mount Parnassus, we’ll discover what was once considered the centre of the world to the Greeks. Covered in a splattering of culturally rich historic monuments, we’ll need an ouzo or two by evening to help us digest the magnitude of what we’ve witnessed.

Day 12: Delphi to Athens

With enough historical nuggets squirrelled away to last us a life time, we’ll hit the road and head back to the country’s capital for our finale. That’s all folks. Our 12 days in Greece (plus a Turkish mini-moon) will be finished by 6pm this evening. Best start mapping out your next piece of adventure to kick those post holiday blues.

    • For 4-nights you’ll be catching zzzz’s in twin or triple share rooms in homely Greek hotels. If you prefer to sleep alone, you can splash some extra cash and upgrade your digs to single-share. For the remaining 7-nights you’ll be lounging in the cabin of a cruise ship floating through the Aegean Sea
    • You’ll be safe in the hands of your professional Trip Manager, plus a local rep who knows the streets and seas of Greece better than you know the freckles on your knees. When it comes to transport, an experienced and legendary driving crew will be taking the reins, both at the wheel of the coach and our cruise ship
    • From feta heavy Greek salads to mouth-watering souvlaki, the food of Greece is A+. We’ll dish up the best of it and give you plenty of time to follow your own nose too
