Day 1

Perth to Kalbarri
We head north to the impressive Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. We enjoy a fully guided tour through these amazing limestone formations and drop in at the Discovery Centre before we have lunch by the sea. After a quick stop in the town of Geraldton it’s on to Northbrook Farmstay for some true blue Aussie hospitality and our overnight stay. (L,D)


Day 2

Kalbarri to Shark Bay
Today we visit the marvels of Murchison Gorge, Nature’s Window and Z-Bend Gorge in Kalbarri National Park. Here you have the option to try abseiling (additional expense). If conditions allow us, we will cool off with a swim in the Murchison River before we’re back on the bus traveling north to Shell Beach and the town of Denham for our accommodation. (B,L,D)


Day 3

Shark Bay to Coral Bay
This morning meet the famous Monkey Mia dolphins for some excellent photos. We visit the oldest live rock formations in Australia, the ‘Stromatolites’ before we settle into our accommodation in Coral Bay, located right on the famous Ningaloo Reef. (B,L,D)


Day 4

Coral Bay
Today enjoy free time to experience the many great tours and activities Coral Bay has to offer, with special discounts available as an Aussie Wanderer passenger. Go for a stroll on the beach and check out the shark nursery, swim with the Manta Rays or go for a snorkel on the Ningaloo Reef only metres from shore (all optional and at additional expense).
This evening we take the short drive up the peninsula to Exmouth and check in to our accommodation for two nights in the town centre. (B,D)


Day 5

Today is yours to join any of the optional activities available including snorkeling with the friendly giants of the sea, the whale sharks (seasonal/additional cost) or enjoy a fully guided tour of Cape Range National Park, a spectacular place of rugged limestone ranges, breathtaking deep canyons and 50km of pristine beaches.
Experience guided snorkeling trips including the stunning Turquoise Bay, Vlamingh Head Lighthouse and lookout, Milyearing Visitors Centre and more before we return to our accommodation in Exmouth at the end of the day. (Activities today are all optional and at own expense) (B,L,D)


Day 6

Exmouth to Karijini National Park
Up early we travel east through station country and stop at Tom Price, the highest town in Western Australia. Here we get our supplies before we head to the amazing Karijini National Park. We stay at the multi award winning Karijini Eco Retreat in deluxe safari eco tents with your own veranda, quality beds, linen and hot showers. (B,L,D)


Day 7-8

Karijini National Park
The next two days give us plenty of time to explore Karijini National Park and to enjoy 2.5 billion years of evolution and 40,000 years of culture. We visit and hike many of the gorges, swim in amazing rock pools, stand under waterfalls and explore intriguing rock formations including Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and its adventurous Handrail Pool, Dales Gorge, Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and more. Late on day eight we travel further north to Pardoo Roadhouse for our final night together as we roll out the swags for a night of camping under the stars (tents available on request, please advise at time of booking. Day 9

Pardoo Roadhouse to Broome
This morning sees us arrive at 80 Mile Beach for some stunning photos. Upon arrival in Broome your guide will take you for a tour around town before checking in at your hostel accommodation (in dorm or private rooms) where you will spend three nights enjoying this tropical township. (B,L)


Day 10-11

Enjoy two free days in Broome to explore some of the many attractions on offer including a sunset camel ride along Cable Beach, sea kayaking to look for sea turtles, a day trip to Cape Leveque or lazing about the pool at your accommodation. Accommodation included but meals and activities are at own expense.


Day 12

Broome to Silent Grove
Departing Broome early in the morning we head east towards the famous Gibb River Road and arrive at Windjana Gorge in the Napier Ranges for lunch. After lunch we will explore the gorge to view the native birds and resident freshwater crocodiles. In the afternoon we explore Tunnel Creek and hear the legend of the Aboriginal freedom fighter, Jandamarra, before heading to Silent Grove for our first night under the stars. (L, D)


Day 13

Silent Grove to Mt Elizabeth
Enjoy your first morning waking up in the wilderness far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. On day 2 you will explore more of the region’s gorges including Bell, Galvans and Manning. Due to the incredible diversity of the north west the water levels at the time of your journey will determine which gorges you visit, however each are unique and awe-inspiring in their own right. After a day of exploring and swimming in these magnificent natural attractions we will travel to our overnight location on the working cattle station of Mount Elizabeth. (B, L, D)


Day 14

Mt Elizabeth to El Questro
Heading further east we will explore, swim and hike this amazing region of Western Australia, driving across the vast Pentecost River and reaching the beautiful outback oasis that is El Questro. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the many optional activities available at El Questro (Extra Cost). (B, L, D)


Day 15

El Questro
On day 4 we will discover a portion of the one million acres of the El Questro Wilderness Park beginning with a soak in Zebedee Springs and a hike into El Questro Gorge. Then sit back and relax by the river or grab a drink at the Swinging Arm Bar before settling for our final night at El Questro. (B, L, D)


Day 16

El Questro to Lake Argyle via Kununurra
Wake up in glorious El Questro for the second time then enjoy a short drive and morning hike to the refreshing Emma Gorge. Back on the road, we head towards the Hoochery Distillery, the oldest continuously operating distillery in Western Australia. Here you will have the opportunity to taste test the famous Ord River Rum (optional). We will then continue through to Lake Argyle, Australia’s largest man-made lake for a spot of lunch and set up camp. After lunch you will have the option to experience an afternoon on the water with a sunset cruise on the lake (optional) before dinner and a much deserved sleep before a very exciting day to follow! Day 17

Lake Argyle to Purnululu National Park and Return to Kununurra
This morning we drive from Lake Argyle, into Kununurra ready to jump on an aircraft. For this leg of the tour, Aussie Wanderer has partnered up with AVIAIR to create a once in a life-time opportunity. From here, we begin the Bungle Bungle Wanderer Tour! Definitely a bucket list moment! The tour begins with a one hour scenic flight over Lake Argyle, Lake Kununurra, the Ord and Bow Rivers, the Carr Boyd and Osmond Ranges and a first look at the Bungle Bungles from the sky! Once landed at the remote Purnululu National Park airfield we’ll begin the land based part of the tour, including a walk amongst the incredible contrasted beehive structures of the Bungle Bungles and a visit to the breathtaking Cathedral Gorge whilst learning about the cultural significance of the area. This amazing adventure will end with a return scenic flight over the Argyle Diamond Mine finishing up at the Hidden Valley Caravan Park in Kununurra for the night. (B, L, D)


Day 18

Kununurra to Katherine
This morning we farewell those that are returning to Broome and start making our way to Victoria River Roadhouse where we will do the escarpment walk and have lunch. Then we will head towards Katherine and visit their crystal clear hot springs, arriving at our accommodation in the late afternoon at Knotts Crossing Resort for dinner and a swim in the resort pool. Day 19

Katherine to Darwin
Our final day sees us journey to one of the Northern Territory’s most stunning areas, Litchfield National Park. On our way, we will stop for lunch at the ethereal Butterfly Farm before progressing further to experience the fascinating Magnetic Termite Mounds, Florence Falls and Buley Rockhole before arriving in Darwin in the early evening.
