The tour exceeded our expectations. Jarrod was relaxed and organized. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we did. We were worried that a tour would be rigid and detract from the experience, however this was not the case at all. Having an expert at hand when needed really enhanced the tour.Overall Rating
Well organized, great cross section of the country and great sites and insight. Super hotels and ryokans. And it was fun!!! A lot more fun than we expected!!!Overall Rating
Was very impressed by Japan and felt the tour exposed many different aspects of the country. The group leader was excellent, I would gladly travel to other countries with the same leader.Overall Rating
This tour was a good introduction to Japan.Overall Rating
All locations included were excellent. Only more days could have improved tour. Looking forward to additional G Adventures Japan tours with different locations!Overall Rating
Enjoyed each day traveling with our group and Jarrod as our leader. Every day was an adventure filled with new sights, different tastes of local food and a close-up look at the Japanese culture (also plenty of laughs).Overall Rating
It was well planned and enjoyable in every aspect. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. Transportation was well planned and ran like clockwork. I would definitely choose another tour with G Adventures.Overall Rating
much more fun than I thought is would be!Overall Rating
Where else in the world, except Japan, can you go to experience the traditional mixed with the modern, and while not speaking the language and still feel completely at home. Mix in a group of people with different backgrounds, traveling together to places they have never seen and who realize at the end they could not have imagined or understood these places without being there and you receive 15 perceptions of a place which absorbs you. The tour brought you the opportunities to explore on your own and as a group and the confidence to step out of what you thought was your comfort zone. A great experience which went by way to fast, as they say time flies when you’re having fun.Overall Rating
Wonderful experience. Would not have done it any differently.Overall Rating
A fantastic adventure and a great way to learn about a different culture and people.Overall Rating

I obviously hoped for a good holiday, but the tour far surpassed my expectations, largely, I feel, due to our wonderful guide Pascale, for whom nothing was too much trouble.Overall Rating

We found our Japan holiday to be really enjoyable, we feel we experienced a piece of Japan and will return in the future to see more. Overall i would say that this trip in my opinion was excellent, i saw so many things i would otherwise never have seen, my biggest achievement i think was completing the climb of Mount Fuji which was well worth it in the end.Overall Rating

The tour was amazing in terms of its structure, the freedom given to explore independently and the overview of Japan it provides.Overall Rating
Japan is a nice place and the tour provided a broad experience of the country.Overall Rating
This tour was excellent. The spectrum of locations visited was the maximum within the allotted time frame. The transport used allowed the maximum time at each of these locations which were a good mix of urban and rural.Overall Rating
Excellent. What can I say? This was my first trip trip to Japan, and my first trip to a foreign country. I really felt like I experienced Japan, and I cannot think of anything on the trip that I regret. Simply awesome.Overall Rating
All of the hotels were above expectations with fantastic locations and great facilities. The trains were a god send as they were so comfortable and sped you from one part of the country to the other in no time!Overall Rating
The 14 day tour was well balanced in terms of pacing - we had 2 days at all the major stops so it gave us plenty of time to explore and enjoy the sights and sounds of each destination. The tour also features key cities that gave us a good idea of Japan's rich history and culture. We were able to experience Japan from the bustling city of Tokyo to the more quiet town of Takayama.Overall Rating
We had a great time and couldn't fault anything. Keiko our tour leader was above exceptional. Could not fault anything.Overall Rating
I liked all of this tour. I thought Japan was really interesting, the people were really nice and the food was varied and good. The standard of the accommodation was good and JR pass was a good way to travel about.
