The best way to describe the magic of Iceland is to imagine transporting yourself to another world. With extreme landscapes of volcanoes, astonishing glaciers, hot springs and vast deserts, this country is a visual treat to say the least. Close your eyes and imagine partying at a festival where the sun doesn’t set for three days. The likes of Radio Head, Jamie Jones and local Icelandic talent you didn’t know you loved.
Welcome to Iceland, Beats Travellers! On arrival in Iceland, we will meet and greet in the late afternoon at our accommodation and get things rolling with few welcome beers, before our first night in the City of Reykjavik.
With artisan vibes and a sense of individuality, Reykjavik will no doubt be one of the coolest cities you visit on your European Adventure. With eccentric bars situated throughout the city, it is the perfect place for a Beats Travel bar crawl and surprise event, courtesy of our mates at Chase The Beat.
After a heavy night out it’s time to wash away those hangovers by paying a visit to the famous Icelandic Geothermal Spas. Sit in a volcanically heated pool whilst appreciating the natural beauty of Iceland. There’s a reason this is the most visited attraction in Iceland.
At night we’ll go for a traditional Icelandic dinner fit for the Vikings and head back in preparation for the next 2 days of adventure and exploring.
Today we will journey under spectacular waterfalls, pass through magnificent hot springs and even trek through an UNESCO world heritage site, where the tectonic plates of North America and Euroasia part. Not bad for one day, hey?
Let’s get off the beaten track, Beats Travel style, and head South. There’s a reason film-makers from all over the world come to capture the vast landscapes of Iceland. It genuinely feels like you are on another planet. After passing by some amazing sights we arrive at Vik the in the Southernmost part of Iceland where we explore it’s spectacular black sand beaches.
This is what we’ve all been waiting for. Time to rave in the daylight, all night long. Secret Solstice in Reykjavik is like no other music festival in Europe. It’s easy to see how in the past three years, it has been voted one of the best festivals in the world. Not only down to the festival itself but to the epic side parties they hold in the rugged terrain of Iceland.
Thought it was impossible to see Skream play in a volcano? Secret Solstice will show you otherwise.
It’s time to say goodbye to your new Iceland Beats family, but with central Europe only a six hour flight away what’s stopping you from carrying on the party?
