Day 1: Rome

Arrive at any time.

Day 2: Rome/Viareggio

Stop by the Leaning Tower of Pisa en route to coastal Tuscany, using Viareggio as a base for exploration in the region.

Day 3: Viareggio

Enjoy a day-trip to beautiful Cinque Terre and a walk along the footpaths between villages.
We include the Cinque Terre Day Pass, which gives access to trains and the entrance to the coastal path hike, which we recommend. However, it is up to you how you spend time in Cinque Terre.

Day 4: Viareggio

Take a day trip to nearby Florence and enjoy free time to explore. Head for an evening stroll to Piazzale Michelangelo for a spectacular view over Florence.
No city can boast of such artistic richness as the romantic Renaissance city of Florence. Food, art, culture, and beautiful views put this outstanding Italian city in a field of its own. The list of things to see and do in Florence and the surrounding Tuscan countryside is unlimited, be it art, nature, architecture, history, or food and drink!

Day 5: Viareggio/Venice

Enjoy an orientation walk along the canals and highlights of Venice, then take some time to explore the city's winding streets on your own.
Venice - the floating city. Marvel at the colourful Venetian architecture lining the grand canal, and opt to take a ride a gondola. Choose your favourite flavour of gelato from an ornate rainbow of options at a local gelateria. Go deeper into the winding backstreets streets and stumble into quaint shops, grand churches and quiet cafes. Opt to visit Piazza San Marco, or discover the magic behind Murano glass.

Day 6: Venice/Vienna

Opt to explore the artisan islands of Murano and Burano with their picturesque streets, visit the Basilica di San Marco or Doge's Palace. Overnight train to Vienna.

Day 7: Vienna

Free time to wander the imperial streets of Austria's capital, with its grand buildings, gardens, museums, and tasty pilsner. Opt to see the Lipizzaner 'dancing' horses.
After tiring yourself out with sightseeing, pop into a café, a Viennese institution. For a slice of local life, the cafés are good places to relax and get your bearings while deciding what to do next. A delicious café experience involves Gugelhupf, one of Vienna's specialty cakes, and a cup of Melange (half coffee, half milk).

Day 8: Vienna

Enjoy another free day in Vienna.

Day 9: Vienna/Budapest

Orientation walk upon arrival in Budapest, then enjoy a free afternoon to explore. Opt to check out the beautiful Parliament building, stroll along the streets or check out the thermal baths. Opt for an evening out with the group.

Day 10: Budapest

Free time to explore. Opt to check out the beautiful Parliament building, stroll the streets, cruise the Danube, or check out the thermal baths.
Today, new travellers may join you for the rest of the adventure. You are welcome to join them at a group meeting this evening, followed by an optional dinner.

Day 11: Budapest/Kraków

Free time to explore Hungary's capital. Opt to check out the beautiful Parliament building, stroll the streets or check out the thermal baths. Overnight train to Krakow.
With the Danube River dividing old town, Buda, from the newer area, Pest, there is plenty to see and do.

Day 12: Kraków

Orientation walk upon arrival. Free time to visit Auschwitz, travel to see old salt mines, or stay in the city to explore the Jewish Quarter.
Opt to visit Rynek Główny - Europe's largest medieval market square; savour a traditional Polish breakfast (kielbasa, yum), or sit back with a coffee and a slice of Poland's famous cheesecake (sernik babci) at one of the many cafes in the area. Then, walk it off with a stroll uphill to marvel at the impressive Wawel Royal Castle.

Day 13: Kraków

Enjoy free time to wander the city and explore the Jewish Quarter. Opt to travel further afield to Auschwitz for a sobering look into the history of this region, or take a visit to to see the old Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Day 14: Kraków/Prague

Day train to Prague, then enjoy an orientation walk around town including a visit to a genuine beer hall.
Imagine a city lined with Bohemian art, beer halls offering the finest brews in the region, tranquil gardens, and ornate chapels - it's no wonder why visitors fall in love with this place. Take the afternoon and get lost.

Day 15: Prague

Free day for exploration—check out the Prague castle complex or walk the cobblestone streets through the old town and Jewish ghetto.
Enjoy all Prague has to offer. Opt to visit the famous Charles Bridge, the clock tower in the main square or a traditional Czech beer hall with serious helpings of meat and potatoes.

Day 16: Prague/Berlin

Take a train to Germany and enjoy an orientation walk in Berlin. Check out the city's vibrant nightlife.
Berlin is an amazing city with tangible historical importance and a melting pot of different cultures and flavours.

Day 17: Berlin

Free time to explore the city's many attractions such as the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate and the Checkpoint Charlie Museum.

Day 18: Berlin

Take an included bike tour around Berlin. Enjoy free time to explore historic monuments, such as the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate and the Checkpoint Charlie Museum. Experience Berlin's famous nightlife.

Day 19: Berlin/Amsterdam

Hop on a train and cross into the Netherlands.

Day 20: Amsterdam

Enjoy a free day to explore Amsterdam. Opt for a tour through the canals, hit up a museum, or wander through the Red Light District.
Head into a cozy bruin café or “eetcafé” (to the Dutch what pubs are to the British and Irish), local spots where friends gather to catch up over a beer or glass of house wine.

Day 21: Amsterdam/Bruges

Enjoy an orientation walk and free time to explore picturesque Bruges. Opt to visit a local chocolate shop, indulge in a Belgian waffle, or try a local brew. Sante!
Jump on a bus from Amsterdam and head into Belgium, for a visit to the small medieval trading town of Bruges. Bruges is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe and has remained practically unchanged since its heyday. Once inside the city walls, the town closes in around you with street after street of historic houses and a canal always nearby.

Day 22: Bruges/London

Hop on a bus to London and enjoy a final night out with the group.
