With stunning white beaches, crystal clear waters and dramatic granite peaks, the east coast is one of Tasmania’s most popular destinations.
Bay of Fires & Bicheno: The Bay of Fires has to be seen to be believed - consistently rated as one of the world`s best beaches, it`s a place that everyone wants to see but few have visited. In the afternoon we’ll cruise down the Great Eastern Drive, taking in the gorgeous coastline of Tasmania.
Tonight you can walk to the beach to see little penguins come ashore.
Overnight: Bicheno
Wineglass Bay, Freycinet National Park & Kate`s Berry Farm: Today you`ll have the opportunity to visit a wildlife sanctuary to see the rescued animals, including the Tasmanian Devil (extra cost). After that we visit the Freycinet National Park and gorgeous Wineglass Bay with hours to explore and walking options from mild to wild. In the afternoon we drive down the coast, with a stop at famous Kate`s Berry Farm.
Overnight: Hobart
Bruny Island: After a quick ferry ride across the D’Entrecasteux Channel, we go for a tasting at the award winning Bruny Island Cheese Company. Up next is The Neck - the narrow isthmus joining the north and south parts of the island with a lookout giving incredible 360 degree views.
At Cape Bruny we’ll try to spot Bruny’s famous white wallabies, walk to the lighthouse and watch the surf roll in. At Adventure Bay, choose between the beautiful Fluted Cape walk or an award winning Bruny Island Cruise (extra cost). Local oysters can be purchased at Get Shucked on our drive back to the ferry.

Port Arthur, Richmond & Tasman Peninsula: The historic village of Richmond leads us onto the dramatic scenery of the Tasman Peninsula with it`s plunging cliffs, quirky towns and spectacular views. This is the place where Tasmania`s convict heritage intersects with its stunning natural beauty.
The highlight of the day is the opportunity to check out the former prison settlement of Port Arthur. There’s no rush with plenty of time to see the sights on a guided walking tour and harbour cruise. On the return to Hobart we taste delicious Federation Chocolate.
