Our adventure begins early with a pick-up at your hostel and after a friendly welcome from your Moose driver, we head down the Trans-Canada Highway toward Montreal. Our first stop is at the Big Apple (where they have made over 3 million apples pies). Next is a lunch stop and a cruise through the 1000`s Islands located in the St Lawrence river between Canada and the USA. Arriving in Montreal early evening, join your guide for a night out on the town!
This morning we explore Montreal the city of festivals. Join the Moose guide and see the cafes, bars and restaurants in the largest French speaking city outside of Europe. Or if you prefer, travel on your own through this amazing city.
Today we travel to Quebec City. Along the route we visit Mauricie Park and Montmorency Falls - a spectacular waterfall that is actually higher than Niagara Falls! From here we continue to Quebec City - the largest walled city in North America. You have free time to stroll along the cobblestone streets and enjoy outdoor cafes, street musicians, local art and best of all - the fine food! Group dinner (included) tonight at the hostel.
Today is a free day in Quebec City! Before you head out, enjoy an included breakfast at the hostel. We suggest you explore the old city on foot--don`t forget your camera!
This morning we start with a hearty breakfast (included) and drive to Mont Tremblant a beautiful ski village located in the Laurentian Mountains. We will stop at the National Park for lunch and a hike. Arrive at the hostel, swim or canoe before dinner (included) and an outdoor campfire by the lake in the evening!
This morning we hit the road through spectacular Laurentian hills towards Ottawa - the capital of Canada. First we stop at Omega Park for a close up look at wildlife including deer, bear, moose and more. You will love feeding the animals! We arrive in Ottawa around 3:00 pm and after check-in at the local hostel (a former jail), we take a walking tour of the city and historic Parliament Hill. Afterward we head out for a few drinks and dinner in the Byward Market!
The bus leaves Ottawa in the afternoon so you have time to explore the city on your own. Our route to Fort Coulonge is a beautiful drive along the river and we arrive at Esprit lodge in the early evening. Dinner tonight is a barbeque feast of salmon and/or steak (included) and a vegetarian option is also available. If you choose to raft the next day--and we recommend it--you are in good hands- since the Esprit team was voted one of top rafting companies in the world by National Geographic!
If you are rafting, today is an early start at 7:30 am. We take a short ride to the departure point and spend the day on the river - rafting or river-boarding. If you decide to stay at the lodge you can swim, canoe, hike or go mountain bike riding. At the end of the day, we come back to the lodge and settle down to another great meal and relax on the patio with a cold beverage.
After breakfast (included) we hit the road back to Toronto, with a lunch stop at Bon Echo Provincial Park (famous for Bon Echo Rock and some of the finest northern beaches). We arrive back to Toronto approx.. 6pm and we will drop you off at your downtown hostel.
