Sail Turkey

Turkey’s exotic coasts are bursting with treasures, but we’re not chasing drab gold or your everyday gems. We’re seeking richer treasures. The charms of these seas are your hazy memories of pirate-cove parties, your views of monumental Mediterranean fjords, and your fresh seafood platter after a day of swimming the transparent, opal waters. On this trip, you don’t just search for treasures, you live aboard a traditional Turkish gulet. On this 8-day adventure, you’ll permanently feel like a treasure hunter who’s just arrived at the X on the map.

Itinerary

01

Fethiye to Samanlik Bay

We embark on our adventure’s maiden voyage from Fethiye, setting sail for the Samanlik Bay. Here we’ll explore an abundance of secretive coves and secluded swimming spots, and witness the Aegean and Mediterranean seas merging. Tonight, we’ll devour a delicious dinner onboard and indulge in a few cheeky sundowners as we gaze upon the setting sun and reflect on our first epic day. Relax on the deck tonight, soaking up the atmosphere under a twinkling blanket of stars, as we make our way to Samanlik Bay.

02

Samanlik Bay to St Nicholas Island

We continue our voyage early this morning with breakfast being served en route to the entrancing Butterfly Valley. Enjoy a walk through the valley where you’ll marvel at the numerous species of butterflies fluttering in the morning breeze and stand in awe of the powerful waterfalls. For sailors hoping to work on their tans, there’s a beautiful beach nearby just waiting to be explored. Afterwards, we make our way to the blue lagoon of Oludeniz for a dip in its refreshing turquoise waters. Tonight we drop anchor at St. Nicholas Island, where you’re free to explore the Byzantine ruins. Later, join us for another delicious dinner and drinks aboard as the sunset paints the surrounding landscape in a myriad of vibrant blues and reds.

03

St. Nicholas Island to Kas to Limanagzi Bay

This morning, allow the serenity of the bay to gently rock you from your slumber and gaze upon inviting waters surrounded by olive groves. What better way to start the day than with a refreshing swim? After you’ve enjoyed your breakfast, we make our way to Firnaz Bay for another cooling swim stop and some on board lunch. Later, we dock in the port town of Kas, nestled along the Turquoise Coast. Explore the ruins of the ancient theatre, indulge in some drinks at one of the local establishments, or undertake a spot of souvenir shopping. Tonight we enjoy another delectable dinner aboard our nobel vessel, followed by some drinks on the deck in the cool, salt-cut sea breeze near Limanagzi Bay.

04

Limanagzi Bay to Smugglers Cove

Time to practice our best pirate accents because we’re headed for Smugglers Cove! Of course, there’ll be plenty of interesting stops en route. First, we dock at the fishing village of Simena, under the watchful gaze of its central Byzantine castle. Explore the castle or try some delicious homemade ice cream. Next, we visit the sunken ruins of Kekova before heading to the bays of Gokkaya for the option of water sports. This evening, we drop anchor in a secluded bay and enjoying dinner and drinks on board. Tonight, enjoy an optional tour to Pirates Island via speedboat to party the night away in Smugglers Cove. We thoroughly encourage you to get your groove on and shake yer booty!

05

Smugglers Cove to Demre to Limanagzi Bay

See life from the sea life’s point of view, armed with nothing but a snorkel and your own sense of wonder. Once we’ve have our underwater need fulfilled, we’ll set sail for the coast near Demre and the ancient city of Myra. We hope you’ve all been good this year, because Myra is the home of Saint Nicholas of Myra, more famously known as Santa Claus, Father Christmas, or Kris Kringle! Spend most of the day exploring and swimming to your heart’s content. This evening, enjoy another fantastic dinner on board and a refreshing drink as the sun dips below the horizon.

06

Limanagzi Bay to Kalkan to Firnaz Bay

Hoist the anchor and unfurl the mainsail, we’re casting off for the colourful coastal town of Kalkan. This sunny, unspoilt gem is tiered with whitewashed houses and groves of colourful bougainvillea. Explore the cobbled streets and revel in the authentic atmosphere. Grab a bite to eat in one of the cafes or do head out for a shopping excursion. For passengers hoping to explore the natural beauty of Saklikent National Park, you can easily make your way there on a locally offered excursion. This evening, enjoy a delicious dinner followed by drinks aboard the gulet.

07

Firnaz Bay to Fethiye

Here dawns the final full day of our voyage. But avast ye! We’ll see no tears! Today is one of wonder and merriment. We’ll start early and travel to the scenic pine-clad cove of Tarzan Bay before enjoying breakfast and a dip in the pristine waters. Next, we set sail for Samanlik Bay for afternoon of swimming and sunbathing in the truly untouched beauty of this magical place.
